Terms of Service

1. The Service

Aji provides a dish-level food intelligence platform. Our Service includes:

• Aji IQ, a consumer mobile and web application that scores dishes 0–100, offers AI-powered food recommendations through “Aji Sensei,” and provides social features for food discovery.
• Aji PRO, a B2B software-as-a-service dashboard for restaurants providing dish performance analytics, customer engagement tools, and related features.
• Subscription products including Aji IQ Plus (consumer) and Aji PRO tiered subscriptions (restaurant).

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time at our sole discretion.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

To create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information and keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account and for keeping your password secure.

3. Subscriptions and billing

3.1 Subscription products

We offer paid subscription tiers including Aji IQ Plus (consumer) and Aji PRO (restaurant). Pricing for each tier is published at ajiiq.com/pricing and may change with reasonable notice.

3.2 Merchant of Record

Subscriptions are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles billing, payment processing, applicable sales taxes (including VAT, GST, and similar), and refunds on our behalf. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle’s terms and privacy policy at paddle.com/legal.

Your payment card statement may show “AJI IQ,” “PADDLE.NET *AJI IQ,” or a similar identifier.

3.3 Free trials

Some subscriptions include a free trial period (currently 7 days for Aji IQ Plus). You will not be charged during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and your payment method will be charged at the price stated at signup.

3.4 Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or the email receipt from Paddle.

3.5 Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: full refunds within 14 days of initial purchase, prorated refunds at our discretion thereafter, and no refunds for partial billing periods after auto-renewal unless required by applicable law.

3.6 Price changes

We may change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase takes effect. Price changes apply to renewals after the notice period; your current billing period will not be affected.

4. User content and conduct

4.1 Your content

The Service allows you to submit content including dish ratings, reviews, photos, profile information, and check-ins (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, host, store, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content, solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service. This license ends when you delete your User Content, except for content shared with others who have not deleted it, and for backup and legal compliance copies retained according to our data retention policies.

4.2 Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, infringing, or otherwise objectionable
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Submit dish ratings or reviews you did not personally form, including paid reviews you have not disclosed
• Manipulate dish scores, rankings, or other metrics through artificial means
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ accounts, or our systems
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to collect data from the Service without our written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service for commercial purposes other than as expressly permitted (for example, restaurants must use Aji PRO and may not extract data from Aji IQ for competitive analysis)

We may remove User Content and suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

All intellectual property in the Service — including but not limited to the dish scoring algorithm, the Aji name and brand, the Sensei feature, software code, designs, taste vector technology, and aggregated data — is owned by Moza Labs LLC or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property except as expressly stated.

The Aji dish scores, rankings, and recommendations are proprietary outputs of our scoring engine. You may view and reference them within the Service but may not extract, reproduce, or redistribute them in bulk without our written permission.

6. Restaurant data

Aji aggregates publicly available restaurant and menu data from numerous sources to power its scoring engine. We respect the rights of data sources and operate the platform in compliance with applicable copyright and database protection laws. If you are a restaurant or rights-holder and believe your content has been used improperly, please contact us at legal@ajiiq.com with a description of the issue.

Restaurants may claim their listing for free at any time and access additional features through Aji PRO subscriptions.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services including but not limited to:

• Paddle (payment processing)
• Stripe (restaurant order routing)
• Anthropic Claude (AI features for Aji Sensei)
• Google Maps and Places (location data)
• Mapbox (mapping)

Your use of these third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of data.

We do not guarantee:

• That dish scores or AI recommendations are accurate, complete, or free of error
• That restaurant data is current, accurate, or complete
• That the Service will be available without interruption
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements
• That allergen, dietary, or nutritional information is accurate (you should always confirm directly with the restaurant before consuming food, especially if you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical conditions)

Important: Aji is not a substitute for direct communication with restaurants regarding ingredients, allergens, or food safety.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Moza Labs LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the six months before the claim arose, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Moza Labs LLC and its officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your User Content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ends. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, nothing in this section limits your rights to bring claims in your local courts under your local laws.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
