Allergen Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Allergen and dietary information on Aji IQ is user-contributed and may be incomplete. Always confirm with the restaurant before ordering.
Where Our Information Comes From
Aji IQ surfaces dishes, ingredients, and dietary tags assembled from three sources: restaurant menus we collect from public listings, contributions submitted by Aji IQ users, and AI-assisted classification that infers tags from dish names and descriptions. We do not inspect the kitchen, audit the supplier chain, or test the food. Restaurants change recipes, swap suppliers, and run daily specials without telling us.
What "Allergen-Free" and Diet Tags Actually Mean Here
When Aji IQ shows a dish as gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, halal, kosher, dairy-free, nut-free, or shellfish-free, that tag reflects the best-effort interpretation of the data we have at the moment we built the listing. It is not a certification. It is not a promise that the dish is safe for any specific person. Recipes, substitutions, and shared cooking surfaces can change daily.
About the "Confirmed Safe" Indicator
Some dishes display a "Confirmed Safe" indicator. This reflects an audit by Aji IQ at a single point in time, typically against a specific restaurant menu and ingredient list. It is not an ongoing guarantee. It does not detect cross-contamination during preparation, shared fryers, shared cutting boards, or staff handling. Treat it as a hint, not a verdict.
What You Should Do Before Ordering
If you have a severe allergy, a religious dietary obligation, or a medical reason to avoid an ingredient, you must speak with the restaurant directly before ordering or eating. Ask about preparation surfaces, fryer oil, ingredient suppliers, and recent menu changes. Aji IQ is a starting point for discovery, not a substitute for a conversation with the kitchen.
Liability
Aji IQ and its operators disclaim all liability for allergic reactions, illness, or dietary-preference violations that arise from reliance on information presented in the app or on this site. Users with severe allergies or religious dietary obligations assume full responsibility for verifying safety with the establishment. For the full legal terms, see our Terms of Service.
Reporting Incorrect Information
If you find a dish with an incorrect tag, a missing allergen, or stale ingredient information, please report it from the dish detail page so we can review and update it. Community reports help keep the data honest.
