Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Moza Labs LLC (“Aji,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Moza Labs LLC is a Michigan limited liability company. We are the data controller for personal information collected through the Service.

Contact: privacy@ajiiq.com

Address: 2840 Sagebrush Cir, Apt 202, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, United States

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you create an account or use the Service, you may provide:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, username, password, profile photo, bio, home city
  • Connected social accounts: Instagram and TikTok handles (if you choose to link them)
  • Subscription and payment information: processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which collects your billing details, credit card information (tokenized), and tax-relevant information. We do not store full credit card numbers.
  • Content you submit: dish ratings, reviews, photos, check-ins, comments, friend interactions, Aji Together session data
  • Communications: messages you send to Aji Sensei (our AI advisor), feedback, support requests

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you use the Service, we automatically collect:

  • Device information: device type, operating system, app version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
  • Usage data: features you use, screens you view, time spent in the app, taps, scrolls, search queries
  • Location information: approximate location based on IP address, and (with your permission) precise GPS location for finding nearby dishes
  • Log data: IP address, browser type, request timestamps, error logs
  • Cookies and similar technologies: for session management, analytics, and feature preferences. See Section 7.

2.3 Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Restaurants you’ve visited or interacted with on our platform
  • Friends who connect with you on Aji and reference your account in their content
  • Public restaurant data sources that we use to power our scoring engine (this data is about restaurants and dishes, not about you specifically)
  • Anthropic (provider of the Claude AI model that powers Aji Sensei) — we do not share your messages with Anthropic for their training; messages are processed only to generate responses

2.4 Sensitive information

We may infer dietary preferences and restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free, allergies, etc.) from your activity on the Service. In some jurisdictions, this is considered “sensitive personal information” subject to additional protections. We use this information solely to improve the relevance of recommendations and never sell or share it for advertising purposes.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service: authenticate you, deliver core features, sync your data across devices, process subscriptions
  • Personalize your experience: generate your Taste DNA profile, recommend dishes, surface relevant content, suggest Sensei prompts
  • Operate AI features: Aji Sensei processes your messages to provide responses; we may store conversation history to provide continuity across sessions and improve recommendations
  • Process payments: through Paddle, our Merchant of Record for subscriptions. If we introduce restaurant order routing in the future, that flow may use a separate processor (e.g. Stripe Connect); we will update this Policy and notify you before that change takes effect.
  • Communicate with you: account notifications, subscription confirmations, new feature announcements, and (with your permission) marketing emails
  • Improve the Service: analyze usage patterns, debug issues, develop new features
  • Maintain safety and security: detect fraud, prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service
  • Comply with legal obligations: respond to lawful requests, exercise legal claims, comply with tax and accounting requirements

5. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as described below.

5.1 With other users

When you submit content to public surfaces of the Service (ratings, reviews, profile, friend feed), that content is visible to other users as designed. You can control much of this through your privacy settings.

5.2 With service providers

We share your information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service:

  • Paddle— payment processing (Merchant of Record for subscriptions)
  • Stripe— planned for future restaurant order routing; not currently processing diner payments
  • Anthropic— AI processing for Aji Sensei
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting and infrastructure
  • Google (Maps and Places) — location and restaurant data
  • Mapbox— mapping
  • Sentry / DataDog or equivalent — error monitoring and performance tracking
  • Segment / Amplitude or equivalent — analytics

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only to provide services to us.

5.3 With restaurants

Restaurants who use Aji PRO see aggregated, anonymized data about their dish performance. They do not see identifying information about individual diners unless you publicly check in or rate their dishes.

5.4 For legal reasons

We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
  • Respond to valid law enforcement requests
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Aji, our users, or others
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service

5.5 Business transfers

If Moza Labs LLC is acquired, merged, or transfers assets to another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change and give you choices about your information.

6. Your rights and choices

  • Performance: monitoring errors and load times

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies will affect Service functionality.

8. Data retention

  • Information we are required to retain for legal, tax, or accounting purposes (typically 7 years)

  • Backup copies retained for disaster recovery (typically deleted within 12 months)

User Content shared with other users (such as a public review) may remain on the Service after your account deletion if those users have referenced or saved it, but it will no longer be associated with your identifiable account.

9. International data transfers

Aji is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.

For users in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with cross-border transfer restrictions: we use appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and other mechanisms approved under applicable law to protect your information during these transfers.

10. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us at privacy@ajiiq.com.

For users between 13 and 18, we recommend involving a parent or legal guardian in your use of the Service.
