Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid subscriptions to Aji products operated by Moza Labs LLC (“Aji,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (“Paddle”), our Merchant of Record.

This policy applies to:

  • Aji IQ Plus— consumer mobile and web app subscription ($4.99/month or $39/year)
  • Aji PRO— restaurant SaaS subscription tiers (Starter, Pro, Scale)

1. Free trials

Aji IQ Plus subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial.

If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged at the price stated at signup.

You can cancel during the trial through:

  • The app:Settings → Subscription → Cancel
  • Paddle: through the receipt email you received when you started the trial
  • Email: support@ajiiq.com (requests are processed within 24 hours during business days)

2. Cancellation

You can cancel any subscription at any time through:

  • The app:Settings → Subscription → Cancel
  • Paddle: through the receipt email from your most recent payment
  • Email us: support@ajiiq.com

When you cancel:

  • Auto-renewal stops immediately
  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • You will not be charged for future periods

Cancelling does not delete your account. Your taste profile, check-ins, friends, and other data remain available on the free tier.

3. Refunds — Aji IQ Plus (consumer)

3.1 Within 14 days of initial purchase

If you are dissatisfied with Aji IQ Plus, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial paid purchase (after the free trial). To request a refund:

  • Email support@ajiiq.com with the subject “Refund request”
  • Include the email address associated with your account

Refunds are processed by Paddle within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

3.2 After the first 14 days

After the first 14 days of paid service, refunds are not automatically available. We may, at our sole discretion, issue prorated refunds for unused time in your current billing period in cases of:

  • Technical issues that materially prevent you from using the Service
  • Errors in billing
  • Other circumstances we deem appropriate

3.3 Auto-renewal of annual subscriptions

If your annual Aji IQ Plus subscription auto-renews and you contact us within 14 days of the renewal charge requesting a refund, we will issue a full refund and cancel the renewed subscription, provided you have not used Plus features during that 14-day period. After 14 days from renewal, refunds are at our discretion.

4. Refunds — Aji PRO (restaurant)

4.1 Monthly subscriptions

Monthly Aji PRO subscriptions are billed in advance for the upcoming month. We do not provide refunds for partial months.

You may cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the paid period.

4.2 Annual subscriptions

Annual Aji PRO subscriptions provide 17% savings (equivalent to 2 months free) compared to monthly billing.

If you cancel an annual subscription, no prorated refund is issued for the unused portion. We may, at our discretion, issue partial refunds in cases of:

  • Technical issues that materially prevent you from using the Service
  • Restaurant closure or change of ownership (with documentation)
  • Errors in billing

4.3 Order routing commissions

The order commission percentages (1.5% Starter, 1% Pro, 0.5% Scale) are applied at the time of order processing through Stripe Connect and are not refundable through this policy. Order disputes between diners and restaurants are handled directly between the parties involved.

5. Mandatory refund rights (consumer protection laws)

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

5.1 European Union and United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the right to withdraw from a digital service contract within 14 days of purchase under the EU Consumer Rights Directive and equivalent UK law, provided you have not started using the service. By starting to use Aji IQ Plus during the free trial or paid period, you may waive this right (your free trial counts as you starting to use the service).

To exercise the EU/UK right of withdrawal, contact support@ajiiq.com within 14 days of purchase.

5.2 Other jurisdictions

Local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may grant additional rights. We comply with all applicable mandatory consumer protection laws, and nothing in this policy overrides those rights.

6. Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or credit card issuer (a “chargeback”) instead of contacting us first, your account will be suspended pending resolution. If the chargeback is found to be valid, your account remains free-tier. If the chargeback is found to be invalid, your account access may be terminated and you may be barred from creating a new account.

We strongly prefer to resolve billing issues directly. Please contact support@ajiiq.com before initiating a chargeback. We respond to refund requests within 1 business day in most cases.

7. How long refunds take

Once we approve a refund, Paddle processes it within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. The exact time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.
